Portuguese Payment Provider

Project Background
My client, a leading Portuguese payment service provider approached me to develop a native Shopify payment application. The app I developed was an offsite payment page, that handled Shopify orders using my client's APIs. It also had a backoffice to manage settings and view orders and respective statuses. The app also sends emails in certain conditions to both merchants and customers.
Process
Requirements Analysis and Compliance Research: I studied Shopify's payment app requirements and the client's API specifications.Technical Architecture Design: I created the system architecture using Laravel, REST APIs (client and Shopify), GraphQL (Shopify), and MySQL.Core Development Phase: I built the platform that connected Shopify and the company's API with a Livewire and Alpine.js front end.Integration and Testing: Implemented webhook handling for both parties, to handle the async data transfer.Shopify App Store Submission: Prepared the necessary documentation and passed Shopify's review process.Deployment and launch: Successfully listed in Shopify's payment section.Ultimately, the integration was approved, and the company's payment method is now listed among Shopify's payment providers.

I developed a compliant, Shopify approved native payment application that allows merchants of a leading Portuguese payment provider to process payments seamlessly through the Shopify platform. The application was successfully listed in the official app directory.
