The Vodafone Evolution Project, short “EVO”, is a project to centralise and harmonise a number of business processes for all OpCos including especially FICO, HR and SCM. To reach this goal a new central SAP based solution is build in the GIS datacenter Ratingen. The development of the solution is driven by the so called “EVOlution Centre”. This team has analysed the business needs, the SAP and NON-SAP parts of the solution. I joined the EVO GESO (Global ERP Support & Operations) in the EPT (EVO Program Technology) team, responsible for architectural solution design and project management. This team has special focus on: - Technical Architecture Definition. - Technical Design Autority. - Technical Architecture Governance. - Integration Design. - Technical Delivery Team Management (onshore and offshore teams).

Project Altair: Publicis is implementing SAP NetWeaver ABAP and JAVA stacks 7.01 ECC, BI, PI, SAP Portal, CE and Solution Manager. The SAP landscape has Sandbox, DEV, QA, PreProd (cluster), Training and PROD (cluster) environments based on two Datacenters in Paris with online data replication. Platform: Windows 2008 R2 and SQLServer 2008. Key Activities: Responsible for the BI (ABAP and JAVA) and PI (ABAP and JAVA) hands on setup and technical support. SAP landscape general infrastructure stabilization for the go-live and post go-live support. Vertex Indirect Tax O Series, Tax Link for SAP and Reporting and Analysis with Cognos installation and technical configuration.

Main Role: SAP Basis Team Manager. Key Activities: Resposible for plan and estimate projects costs considering the team resources allocation. SAP Basis Project Manager. Definition of SAP solutions and architectures following costumer business requirements and SAP Basis strategies. Reviewing designs and recommending architecture improvements. Liaising with functional teams and the other project service groups. Ensuring the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the growing team. Mentoring junior Basis consultants. Providing hands-on 3rd and 2nd level support on the Accenture clients SAP landscapes based on ITIL best practices on SAP Netweaver ABAP and JAVA Components.

Company: Angola LNG is a business partnership combining Chevron, Total, BP and Sonangol, with a total investment of $10 billion. This new company will explore and commercialize the Angolan Natural Gas. Project: Full lifecycle implementation of SAP ABAP and JAVA solutions: ERP ECC 6.0, NetWeaver Portal 7.1 with ESS, MSS and PM Business Packages, NetWeaver 7.1 BI and SAP Solution Manager 7.1, SAP Content Server (DMS). Key Activities: As SAP Basis Lead, responsible for system design and build activities, production cutover and ongoing harmonization of all systems in the landscape, which were frequently changing to meet moving demand from the project, as follow: - Assess project requirements. - Evaluate project plans – always considering the bigger picture. Evaluate technical resources (servers, storage, etc) with LNG internal IT data centre. - Customer/Supplier advisor for SAP architectural design and communication bridge between project team and data centre to ensure quality of supplier deliveries. - Performance of maintenance activities like role and users maintenance, database monitoring and tuning of the system based on the SAP Early Watch Reports. - SAP Upgrades and patches implementation. - Extensive day to day project support. High-level support for more than 50 project users, Go-live support and transition handover. - SAP Authorizations implementation and support post go live. - Manage and support of the SAP ABAP team, keeping track of time spent per RICEFW, performing quality reviews of the technical specifications and coding and assigning tasks to resources. - Knowledge Transfer to the LNG internal Basis team. Today Angola LNG runs the business supported by the implemented SAP components and all the technical deliverables were on the planned dates.

Key Activities: As SAP Basis Lead, responsible for the Technical Infrastructure Design, Migration Strategy definition, detailed Plain Build and execution of the SAP Landscape Refresh involving Homogeneous and Heterogeneous System copies of the following ABAP and JAVA SAP Components: SRM, BW, Enterprise Portal and XI with SSO and SSL.
