About me

Intro

I'm an engineer by nature. I always have been. I work on complex systems where versatility is mandatory, curiosity is a requirement, and “that's how we've always done it” is not an acceptable answer. I investigate, test, break, automate and document until systems become understandable, reproducible and boring to operate. Most of my professional life has been spent inside Linux systems and open-source stacks, designing and running database platforms at scale. I prefer automating things away rather than becoming a permanent hero. Complexity doesn't scare me — it's usually where the interesting engineering starts.

Automation Architect

Worldline

Apr 2025 - Present

1 year 7 months

Greater Barcelona Metropolitan Area, Spain

– I design and automate Oracle database platforms for complex, critical environments where manual operations don't scale and reliability is non-negotiable. – My work focuses on turning Oracle infrastructures into reproducible, observable platforms through Infrastructure as Code and automation-first practices. – Designing Oracle platforms as code using Puppet, Terraform and Git-based workflows – Building CI/CD pipelines for database provisioning, configuration and lifecycle operations – Implementing end-to-end observability with Prometheus, Grafana and alerting systems – Reducing operational risk and human error through automation and standardization – Supporting high-pressure environments where systems are already complex and expectations are high

9 years 4 months

Barcelona Area, Spain

– At VoxelGroup, I worked on a large-scale, product-based platform delivered entirely as a service, operating as a high-throughput invoicing gateway for the hospitality sector, processing hundreds of thousands to millions of invoices per month with Oracle databases at its core. – Designing and automating an internal Oracle Database as a Service platform for standardized provisioning and lifecycle management – Automating database platforms using Rundeck, SaltStack, Bash and Jenkins pipelines – Operating Oracle and PostgreSQL platforms, addressing the significantly higher complexity of Oracle automation – Participating in the infrastructure evolution from on-prem clusters (Red Hat, GFS, KVM) to a Nutanix-based platform – Introducing Ceph to offload non-relational workloads from Oracle, improving efficiency and cost control

Systems & Automation Foundations

Atlas IT / NTT
