A French agricultural group wants to standardize the technical solutions and working methods of the companies within the group. This objective is in line with new regulatory requirements (ISO 25119), a desire to improve product quality and diagnostics to facilitate maintenance, and a long-term vision (15-20 years). VIVERIS is advising the group on this process and providing manpower for the electronic and software aspects. In this context, I am helping the client to comply with the ISO 25119 standard by implementing the V-model and initiating the associated technical documentation. I analyze the system in detail, its architecture, its functions, its possible configurations, and the quality of the code, and propose an upgrade plan that integrates the new desired functions. A startup develops connected and modular products for cybersecurity and predictive maintenance of industrial control systems. I carry out system and software studies of their prototypes with a view to industrialization. The project involves upgrading the existing factory acceptance test software to support this new module. A client, an automotive supplier specializing in injection molding, is diversifying by developing a kit for electric bicycles (crankset, motor, controls). I am involved in implementing the embedded control application for the electric assist system. Based on the kinematic equations defined in the SysML model, the objective was to code the embedded application. I also provided support for the development of low-level drivers. The position included defining low-level interfaces, designing and implementing control systems, and performing unit and integration tests. As part of a partnership with Telecom Nancy, Viveris wants to evaluate the Rust language and its application in an embedded real-time environment. The project consists of integrating Rust applications into a real-time OS written in C (MicroC/OS-II). One constraint is that the Rust applications must be separate binaries in order to improve security. I am assisting the three Telecom Nancy students with the specification, design, and implementation of the project. They will succeed in integrating Rust applications and making an LED flash using system calls to the OS. For a railway client, I am studying a proprietary software framework designed for display on train consoles. The aim is to identify performance issues observed during operation and make recommendations. The 12-day study concludes with a detailed report identifying the software architecture issues causing the observed performance problems and the production of a proof of concept that significantly improves performance. Responsible for the PACIS subsystem, which covers public address systems, dynamic displays, and CCTV in trains, as well as the software that controls them. On several projects, I am involved in system specification and validation, supplier management, coordination of the various disciplines and experts working on the system (quality, RAM, eco-design, logistics, maintenance, EMC, mechanics, etc.), and clarification of interfaces with other systems. With Opibus having delivered its first retrofitted vehicle, my role is to manage developments in the onboard software in collaboration with the CTO, customers, and the electrical and electronics teams. I oversee deployments on new vehicles and those already in service. I select and integrate new electronic components. I also evaluate new vehicle connectivity features for preventive maintenance, fleet tracking, etc. I oversee the development of the software team by setting up the automated development environment (CI/CD), recruiting, and training. Opibus converts safari vehicles to electric power (retrofit). Vehicles converted by Opibus include a dashboard screen that displays navigation information. My role is to develop the embedded software for the dashboard, which acts as an intermediary between the vehicle components and the user interface. Real-time and network aspects are taken into account, as well as a robust architecture that is independent of the components used and capable of being enhanced.
