• Participated in designing, creating, transforming, and maintaining the company’s new data platform from scratch, migrating from SQL Server to a modern cloud-based stack (GCP, BigQuery), and developing robust ETL pipelines to extract data from multiple sources (MongoDB, SQL Server) and load it efficiently into the new data warehouse. • Implemented data transformation and orchestration processes using DBT Cloud, ensuring clean, reliable, and reusable data models. • Automated the extraction and transformation of warehouse data into customized formats, ensuring secure FTP delivery to clients. • Applied software engineering principles to the data ecosystem, including version control, continuous data testing, monitoring, and quality checks. • Replaced legacy extraction jobs by developing new Python scripts to transfer data from MongoDB to BigQuery, significantly reducing resource usage and execution time. • Oversaw data governance practices and ensured full compliance with GDPR and data privacy regulations across all data processes. • Developed an automated daily Similarity Check script to validate data consistency between MongoDB and BigQuery, ensuring 100% data accuracy and recovering missing records when needed. • Optimized data queries and models to improve performance and reduce costs. • Refactored legacy code and transitioned old sources and views to modern DBT models, ensuring smooth migration and maintainability. • Provided ongoing support for the historical data warehouse (SQL Server) during the cloud migration phase.
