• Provide end to end support to clients by supporting different versions of Oracle and SQL Server databases in Dev, PPRD, & PROD environment. • Perform all aspects of Oracle and SQL server Administration, installation, tuning, and migration of instances, space management, cloning, backup and recovery. • Optimize physical design and environment for different data access methods and monitors performance and provide recommendations for database performance enhancements. • Provide 24x7 and on-call support for Oracle and SQL server, enhance existing environments for optimal performance and ensure that all critical database problems are resolved in a timely manner. • Coordinate with DBA Team on infrastructure enhancement and large development projects with Shell scripting, database export/import, Hot and cold backups, system tuning and troubleshooting on UNIX and Windows. • Optimize stored procedures, user defined functions and developers PL/SQL codes for better performance of the database servers. • Problems resolution discovered via monitoring and alerting processes by deadlock and timeout resolution, failing system jobs, files system and tablespaces growth, archiving and purging maintenance, index maintenance and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA). • Design and implement data collection processes to allow for long-term trend analysis, create a knowledge base of problems and resolutions, recommend and implement database best practices. • Monitor database performance via Database tuning, SQL tuning in combination with end-user query tool tuning, Resource control in the DBMS, and Database reorganization. • Working knowledge and involvement for Oracle databases for optimum performance using ASM technology including RAC configuration and RMAN backup & recovery. • Perform database backup/recovery, enforce data integrity and security where necessary, Capacity Planning with the management staff, Oracle/SQL Server documentation as needed

• Install, upgrade and patch Oracle software and associated applications. • Troubleshooting Database server problems, and assist in the resolution of application problems. • Develop Oracle backup and recovery strategy and scripts. • Implement database refresh using full export. Use EXPORT/IMPORT to do table level and full database defragmentation. • Perform database tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager, Explain Plan and STATSPACK. • Created Unix Shell scripts to automate database operation. • Developed and optimized complex stored procedures/functions/triggers in SQL. • Providing support to applications development and support personnel.
