To achieve my PhD, I needed to characterise my samples in terms of mechanical properties. I went to Stanford University who held this expertise within its lab, through both knowledge and technical resources. I was working in the Department of Chemical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Curtis Frank. I was involved in the thermo-mechanical characterization of model polymer networks produced through controlled polymerization process or Click coupling reactions.

During my first year of PhD, I had the opportunity to establish a collaboration with IBM to learn new synthetic processes, useful for my research. I did my research under the supervision of James L. Hedrick and Craig J. Hawker. I worked on the development of PEO-based biodegradable model network by the copper-catalyzed Azide-Alkyne Click reaction. Well the famous Click chemistry !
