Job Role & Responsibilities. - Work as the primary engineer for the cloud migration projects. and the support engineer to after the migrations. - Attend to technical discussions and find solutions to the ongoing issues and migration projects. - Implement Database configuration, Installation, Troubleshooting solutions in the production systems. - Build the team for a specific project and manage the tasks and co-ordination with the relevant teams towards the completion of the project. - Work on the on-call rotation , database maintenance , incident(critical to medium) activities according to the service level agreements. - Implement best practices on alert configuration, automation , backup and restorations and alert noise reduction. - Prepare training materials , root cause analysis document, run-books, and work on presentations and workshops. - Implement Jira practices and ITIL practices to the maintenance , upgrade and audit processes

• Working in the Global IT Infrastructure Services Unit to provide database and application server support for production systems. • Planning and Designing database structure. • Backup and recovery. • Performance tuning. • Performance data guard drills(Switchover/Switchback) • Installing and configuring Oracle database, weblogic server, application server, cluster applications (RAC) , Data guard.

Provide 1st line database support, monitor several mission critical application systems and engage in implementation, performance tuning, capacity planning, upgrading and patching. Technologies: Database monitoring in Exadata Database Machine, ODA(Oracle Database Appliance server), Oracle RDBMS 10g/11g, RAC/ASM, Weblogic server 10.3.5/10.3.6, JVM tuning, RMAN(Recovery Manager), 12c Enterprise manager, VMware, Vsphere Roles and Responsibilities • Installing and configuring Oracle database software, Oracle RAC (Real application Clusters - high availability software), Weblogic server software an d Oracle Forms and Reports software in Windows and Unix operating systems. • Providing 24*7 on-call database and application server support for live systems. • Creating standby databases through Oracle Data Guard and performing maintenance tasks. • Monitor storage growth and implement required solutions in production systems. • Performance tuning in the database instances and application server instances. • Maintain the integrity of the database systems though applying security features. • Applying critical patches and upgrading necessary software. • Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. • Writing shell scripts and schedule database backups and to administer database tasks. • Install operating systems (Oracle linux, Redhat linux, Windows server). • Using RMAN , data-pump and Imp/Exp technologies to backup and recovery activities.
