Development of different applications for STIB users and STIB network managers : - Bus, tram and metro vehicle use screens to display their current path. - Bus, tram and metro stops need to display up-to-date waiting times and messages. - STIB employees need a platform to overview and manage the displays on the network. The goal of the project is to develop these different applications while respecting a use cases book. The different front-end are developed in Vue.js with Typescript language. The backends are written in Python and the Frameworks for the server side were either Django or Bottles

The project COMET consists in the configuration of electronic cards used in railway transports. The generic software makes it possible to adapt the cards to the different types of transportation (train, tram, metro, etc.) and regions (each country and region of a country may have different signage/means of communication/rules). • Software development to configure the projects to upload on the electronic cards in Python and Lua. • Files specification creation with Excel and VBA. • Software compiler made with C++ through IDE RadStudio. • Software upload on electronic cards with Shell scripts. • Automated installation of required tools/soft with Batch scripts.

The project Nears is a platform to conceive a smart home, for elders, based on AI. It gathers technological solutions easily installed and managed by users or professionals, allowing elders to stay home thanks to monitoring capabilities. Sensors are placed in the apartment to follow the daily life of the elder, such as the sleep routine, the bathroom use, and other activities. The flexibility of the project allows the use of different sensors in different rooms to follow specific activities chosen by the family or the caregiver. • Backend development, including APIs, scripts, applications, and database (MongoDB) management, in JavaScript since Node.JS allows to build scalable network applications and to easily develop both the clientside and the server-side. • Frontend development to display the activities recorded by the sensors in Angular. It suited best the need to build the web application for desktops and mobiles. With this toolset comes along the use of JavaScript / TypeScript / HTML / SCSS / SASS. A transition has been done from JavaScript to TypeScript because of the evolution of Angular. • Tests development to validate the code: o Unit tests through Jasmine to test JavaScript / TypeScript frontend and backend functions. o E2E tests with Protractor to validate the end user's experience by simulating the real user scenario. Other important tools are: o Bower to keep track of the latest version available. o Npm for package management. o Jenkins to manage the compilation of the different tools and tests. o Git and Bitbucket to share the project with other team members and include tasks/issues tracking through JIRA. o Confluence to have a wiki.

The project AMELIS is a calendar for elders has multiple goals: • Organize the user’s daily life through the display of interactions. • Help their temporal orientation. • Maintain interpersonal contacts. The elders are involved in the creation process. A virtual agent is integrated to help the user. My work on this project: • Backend development, including APIs, scripts, applications, and database (MySQL) management, in JavaScript With Node.JS. Use of SSL to secure the website access and the vocal recognition. • Frontend development to display the interactive calendar with AngularJs. With this toolset comes along the use of JavaScript / HTML / CSS / SCSS / Bootstrap / SASS. • AI development to interact with the user through vocal commands using: o A rules-based model to understand user’s commands. This rules-based model is implemented through AIML / Program-ab / Python / Java. Program-ab is a platform to chat with a bot using AIML, which like XML syntax, constructs the rules-based language and Java to implement the actions to realize in the calendar. A part was also managed by Python scripts to process specific sentences with ease. o A neural network seq2seq model found on TensorFlow specialized in language learning is used to allow the user to freely discuss with the AI. • Tests development to validate the code: o Unit tests through Karma to test JavaScript frontend and backend functions. o E2E tests with Protractor to validate the end user's experience by simulating the real user scenario. • Other important tools are: o Bower to keep track of the latest version available. o Npm for package management. o Grunt to manage the compilation of the different tools and tests. o Linux is chosen over Windows for the ease of libraries/packages/software installation and management. o Docker to keep the Linux environment on other OS. o Git and Bitbucket to share the project and include tasks/issues tracking through Jira
