Back end development of several e-commerce websites with the Spree / Solidus framework. The technical stack is based on the Ruby on Rails framework, and the front end of the web application uses the React / Redux framework. The site is hosted on Heroku and using a postgresql database. Custom development of specific modules for back office management via Solidus: management of promotions, customer returns and refunds, multi-packages and multi-warehouse deliveries. Implementation of a powerful search engine via Algolia, for a quick and easy product search for the users of the e-commerce websites. Implementation of data flows for communicating between existing entities of the company, service reporting, marketing, finance, etc...

This application allows individual drivers to connect with people looking for a shipping service. The popularity of this French start-up is increasing, making them the leader on the market. The back end is done in Ruby on Rails. My mission is to develop the API to communicate with the front-end application, design the code and data structure, and to implement new API features. The goal is to create a clean, robust code that can scale easily, but still being readable. The application is fully tested with Rspec.

Within the context of supporting local businesses, the task involved integrating into an expanding tech team and refining existing processes while sharing my knowledge on the Solidus/Spree open source e-commerce framework. I also implemented the new payment system transitionning from Adyen to the Stripe solution.

Alerti is a social media monitoring and analysis solution. This application makes possible for a company to collect all the data from different social media platforms to analyze it's brand's performance and to take action. The main part of this Ruby on Rails application consists on crawling the internet to collect all information requested by the users. Due to its constant growth, this system started to work slowly as it was handling hundreds of millions of rows. My first mission was to research and select the most fitting relational database that could handle the growing number of users. I analised different technologies, benchmarking for different databases, and optimizing db indexing and structure. The next task was to refactor and rewrite the new crawler architecture that could process the data faster and more efficiently. I designed the new architecture, and implemented it using Ruby and Sidekiq.

Development of an internal web platform to support and engage employees in creating their own business project. HTML and CSS integration, responsive and available for all browsers, front end development via the Knockout.js framework and back end development via Ruby on Rails. Interaction with the Ulule API for the crowdfunding management of the projects elected by the users of the platform. Integration with Facebook and Twitter APIs for tracking ongoing projects on social networks.
