Inside the new R&D center Robert-Jean de Vogüé in Champagne. I was a part of Moët Hennessy R&D ecosystem, to help better understand and anticipate current and future environmental and production challenges. I managed a project whose goal was to bring the latest biotechnology tools (Next-generation sequencing (NGS), Flow cytometer, Data analyses/Data management) to measure the health of vineyards, with biologicals, informatics, big data, physics and chemicals tools. Project management : - Set priorities, planning, force of proposal, taking initiative, overview, taking a step back, control at every step, communication, teamwork, budget management. - I lead meetings with different experts, R&D and companies to listen, structure, define and identify their needs and implement the best solutions for this project. - I did bibliographic work. To establish the state of the art and to help us in our future decisions. - I created protocols, by using strong scientific background. I adapted the protocols (NGS, sampling strategy) to the wine-growing context. - I gave technical advices and communicates about these new tools, (NGS, flow cytometer). I trained other employees on these tools and protocols. I brought these new tools to this company. - I did data management and data analyses. By using different tools for data management, tableau data visualization like JMP, Mothur, QUIIME, Power BI, R, Python and SQL with different statistic analyses. - I planned a project, by discussing with different companies, to negotiate, technology watch, prospect company, choose the best partner, to prepare budgets, monitor progress and to keep my superiors informed throughout the project, by regular communication. - The goal of this project has been achieved. We created a protocol to measure the health of vineyards using the latest biotechnological tools. With calendars of use, protocols for each problem encountered. This work is still used today in the Moët Hennessy vineyards
