Numerical development of a correlation on pulmonary pressure drops taking into account healthy conditions and several pathologies such as asthma or COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). This work is part of the national research project "He-Ox Release" which aims to highlight the benefits of using specific mixtures of gases for the treatment of patients rather than the classical air. Creation of an automated process for the building of geometries, meshes and physical models with the GAMBIT and FLUENT softwares (ANSYS licence). Distributions of the pressure drops and of the different gas have been computed in order to validate the studied models of ventilation. Simulations under the software ANSYS FLUENT with C++ user-programming. Frequent meetings and presentations of results with the different partners involved in this project. Writing of technical reports and user's guides.

Project for ONERA research center. Study and characterization of contamination due to backward flow of particles emitted from a space engine in rarefaction-dominated conditions. Autonomous constitution of a bibliographic database to build a valid physical model. Development of a PYTHON numerical scheme validated to explain the phenomenon.
Development and validation of numerical methods for mechanical study of fuel assemblies

Development, implementation and validation of Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) methodologies in a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code for nuclear fuel applications. Creation of an automated process for CFD calculations which calculates the forces applied on fuel assemblies. Then, induced deformations are calculated and the structure is deformed with respect to the previous calculated values. Simulations under the software STAR-CCM+ combined with JAVA and FORTRAN user-programming. Frequent meetings and feed-backs with the company in charge of the development of the software. Writing of technical reports and oral defenses in front of colleagues and managers of the department.

Study, characterization and optimization of new "MicroMEGAS" (Micro-MEsh Gaseous Structure) detectors for Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics. In collaboration with CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), I worked on the next generation of particle detectors with practical applications in several fields (health, safety, energy, spatial missions). I worked with the team that has created this device and had been integrated into the Division of Sciences of the Matter (DSM), the biggest one of the commission. I also have contributed to the writing of several publications in different scientific journals. At the end of my internship, I had chance to present the results of my research at CERN in front of the commission 151, group we belonged to.
