Leading the research and implementation of a set of multi-cloud based platform-agnostic apps, catering to improving operational efficiency in manufacturing plants. Solutions are being built on top of TypeScript, Python, Elixir, and C. The front-end rests on a well-structured monorepo backed by a state-of-the-art tooling incorporating top-of-the-line testing, linting, formatting, bundling and documentation libraries, while the polyglot back-end makes use of popular ML/AI and IIoT offerings, and knows how to talk to SQL/NoSQL databases.

Developed a data visualization API in JavaScript and TypeScript to visualize analysis’ results in the form of scatter plot, histogram, bar chart, line chart, etc. (d3js and amCharts). As a part of the project, also designed and maintained: • A REST compliant JSON specification to represent and transmit charts across the web platform and to & from the server. • A reliable & comprehensive linting (ESLint, Prettier), and testing (Jest) system to ensure consistent code quality & format, and for catching bugs at source. • A build routine for each of the packages/repositories in the entire project/monorepo including automatic translation of TypeScript definitions to JSON schemas, creating browser-ready bundles, emitting ESM modules, and optimizing bundle size for production, etc. (WebPack/Rollup) • A collection of standalone web apps for each of the children repositories and wiring it to the “watch” mode of the build routines to test the effect of code change in real time. (Chokidar, Express) • An automated documentation routine in addition to regularly updating the project’s Wiki to disseminate important peculiarities of the project as well as the API. (TypeDoc)

Developed the Georgia Tech Tree Viewer web app, a mobile responsive tree inventory, using ArcGIS API (for JS) 4.6, and brought improvements over the older version of the app by: • Offering real time (on hover) calculations of geometric measures like area, length and geo-coordinates, developing a personalized search/query widget with customized matching & filtering, and providing form autofill while editing trees info. • Enhancing editing capabilities to support all the CRUD (REST) operations over the inventory.
