Leading the Azure SRE team, focusing on automating and resolving issues across platform and application infrastructure. My work also includes architecting and developing multiple automation solutions in Terraform to build a new Azure Mission Critical tenant from scratch for Eurocontrol’s iNM, one of their most critical applications. Nearly all infrastructure components have been codified using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform and deployed through Azure DevOps Pipelines. Developed IAC automation for establishing Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, service principals and role assignments with best practices built in. Automated creation of connectivity, application and management landing zones. Implemented private networking across all the infra components(storage,key vaults, Databases, ACRs, Image Builder) using private endpoints with private dns zones, VNET integration. Setup express routes, S2S Vpn Tunnels between Azure and On Prem. Hardening the Azure tenant with policy management, conditional access policies, Entra hardening framework, defender for cloud, OIDC for service principal, Oscap compliant CIS hardened Images. Delivered an IAC solution for the LADR (Location of an Aircraft in Distress Repository) project, designed with disaster recovery considerations embedded at every level. I have also coached all application DevOps teams to adopt standardized approaches aligned with platform-level strategies.

Led infrastructure analysis and architectural design for the Orbis Map Platform, supporting cross-functional component teams. Architected CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions for fast, reliable platform delivery. Championed Terraform and Terragrunt to automate cloud infrastructure, and provided onboarding and coaching for component teams. Engineered service mesh security for microservices using Istio, Azure AD, OAuth2-proxy, and Vault. Promoted microservice resilience patterns (circuit breakers, timeouts, rate limiting) to enhance reliability and fault tolerance. Platform technologies included Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Istio, Argocd, GitHub Actions, External DNS, Certificate Manager, Ingress, Azure Network Security, Confluent Kafka, Scalyr, Grafana Cloud, and Container-based Linux agent pools.

Architected and developed Nessie, a marketing platform which allows marketers to set up different sources and destinations for data ingestion and export. Nessie was designed in such a way that Nessie can pull the data from all support data sources, enrich the data, and export the data to supported destinations. Shaped the technical design of the product in a way that it can scale horizontally and made onboarding of any new customer possible within minutes before they can start ingesting and exporting their data to marketing destinations. The product is fully cloud native and Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, spinnaker, Istio, terraform, Golang were some key technologies used for development. Event-driven microservice architecture was the first choice to design microservices and the Google Cloud pub sub was heavily leveraged to implement this architecture into reality. Used Google cloud datastore/fire store for Nessie profile store. Google cloud SQL for storing customer configuration. Experimented search features with Cloud Bigtable. All the workloads were containerized and deployed on a Private GKE cluster with Istio services mesh installed for secure traffic routing inside the mesh and for canary releases. Used Google Cloud machine learning libraries for data enrichment. Used firebase for request authentication and casbin for setting up authorization policies. Did setup monitoring using cloud monitoring workspaces, stack driver logging and tracing solutions, Prometheus, and Grafana. Used Cloud load balancers for exposed APIs, and applications.

Designed and delivered elastic, resilient microservices to merge customer profiles using RxJava. Enhanced real-time bidding systems, improving ad-serving efficiency. Developed campaign management APIs with Spring Boot and architected service backends using PostgreSQL. Implemented metrics and monitoring with Dropwizard, JMX, Collectd, Graphite, and Grafana. Deployed services on Kubernetes with Helm charts, managing large-scale bidding infrastructure across thousands of Linux-based VMs.

Led development projects using Spring Boot, Kafka, and Oracle databases for mission-critical banking applications. Designed and implemented ETL pipelines for Operational Data Stores and Data Warehouses leveraging Informatica, Java, Oracle, and Unix. Built PowerShell-based auditing tools for secure communicator message compliance. Enabled comprehensive application monitoring with the ELK stack. Managed deployments on OpenShift Kubernetes (Linux node pools) and orchestrated high-availability Informatica solutions on Linux.
