Moderna is pioneering the development of a new class of drugs made of messenger RNA. My main project is the characterization of lipid nanoparticles encapsulating therapeutic messenger RNA. For this purpose, I used a technique called surface plasmon resonance (or SPR) to analyze interactions between lipid nanoparticles and other small molecules. I also worked on the improvement of a RNA content method based on the use of a phenothiazine derivative.

Won a gold medal The iGEM, or International Genetically Engineered Machine competition, is an international synthetic biology competition held annually in Boston. Our research project focused on the design of a device to deal with bed bug infestations. My role was to manage a team of 20 students and the project in its entirety.
