Dec 2022 - Mar 2024 Pico (Belfast, Northern Ireland) Managed Services Engineer -Providing managed service support for various clients utilising a leading market data API and order execution gateway across the EMEA, APAC and AMRS regions. -Responding promptly to production issues, providing workarounds or resolutions whenever possible. -Replicating customer issues and verifying fixes for customer patches and releases. -Providing production client management, ensuring key parties are updated and the proper escalation matrices are followed. -Working closely with development engineers to promptly resolve customer requests. -Ensuring customer success with automation and scripting. -Building extensive knowledge of Linux system setup to provide lowest latency tick by tick data.

Aug 2021 – Dec 2022 Swedbank Markets Technical Services Team Lead -Team Lead of a six-person team who managed critical Swedbank trading systems -Manged two week sprint iterations through JIRA. -Trained multiple new members using Confluence and Snagit -Succesfully completed upgrade of Murex from v35 to v50 in a six month period -This upgrade included a new installation of modules for the Bloomberg RT Feed, Markitwire API and Listener, adpation of Market Risk modules and core services of the system -Through OS and Murex version upgrades I have further developed technical experience in database setup, network configuration, firewall opening, bash scripting, mxres property files and workflows. -Managed HNAS to NAS file and block storage migrations, Windows and Linux server upgrades, Database version upgrades including MS SQL, Sybase and Oracle. Frequent errors during the night batch needed to be managed effectively. -Experience with creating SQL reports and adding to the project through SVN Repositories -Assisted in design meetings and knowledge transfer between Riskwatch and Murex as RMB made the transfer to Murex.

On my placement year I worked within the Kerryconnect Project on the PMO and Test team. I gained a wide array of skills on this placement such as time management, communication, prioritisation and problem solving. I also worked on the Project Online tool which involved rolling out a time management system across all of Kerry ICT. I gained extensive experience in Microsoft Project and also got the opportunity to gain a lot of experience with Visual Basic and Marco Reports.
