WEEZEM

Weezem is a mobile application available on iOS and Android that allows you to make new friends and find activities and outings. https://weezem.com I built the app and servers from scratch using React Native, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud. Today, I still maintain the app and add new features. We launched the app in 2021, we now have 100k+ registered users and 1M+ messages in the messaging system. I also worked as a Product Owner: designing screens, receiving user feedback, prioritizing features, and determining what should be done and how. You can try the app to see more! Taiji Remote is a Bluetooth-enabled device that enables hands-free bike navigation through its companion app. As CTO, I developed the device, mobile application, and backend infrastructure over the course of a year. I designed a miniaturized PCB featuring an nRF52 SOM, 6 IO, battery circuit and USB power. I then implemented the firmware using nRF Connect SDK. For the mobile app, I chose Flutter to meet demanding animation performance requirements. The backend uses Node.js with OpenAPI, PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geospatial data, and weekly OpenStreetMap ingestion for up-to-date cartography. https://www.taijithedog.com

SPART is an enterprise app designed to boost employee wellbeing. It's a social platform where employees are grouped into teams that participate in sports competitions. As the Lead Full-stack developer, I built the complete application and backend infrastructure, maintaining it over three years. While the team occasionally included 2-3 developers, I remained the core technical contributor throughout the project. The platform serves hundreds of enterprises annually and thousands of users. I developed the mobile application using React Native. I conceived the backend infrastructure using Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud. The app features a feed curated by community managers, messaging, sport activities tracking, a leveling system (XP and levels).

Bugali
Oct 2019 - Jul 2020
10 months
Bugali, the interactive, screenless tablet! The player can interact with tactile books. In a team of an electronic engineer, a mechanical engineer and myself, we built the very first prototype of Bugali, over 10 months. The prototype successfully served its purpose for fundraising, after which the company continued development with a new team while I moved on to build and launch Weezem. I engineered a complete IOT stack: - I programmed an nRF52 chip using the nRF Connect SDK (the pre-ZephyrOS version available in 2019). - I built a Linux system on Raspberry Pi that connected via Bluetooth Low Energy using the Bluez API through DBUS. - I developed a custom 2D game engine in C++ that ran on the Raspberry Pi, featuring an embedded Lua scripting engine for creating mini-games.

I joined Yellow Innovation as a Full-stack Developer in 2018. I was assigned to the Monimalz Team which consisted of electronic engineers, mechanical engineers and 6 software developers (including me). Monimalz was a high-tech piggybank featuring a pixel screen that delivered playful educational content for children. It teaches one English word per day, it teaches money value and more. My role was to develop the user-facing software: the games, applications, and interactive content children would experience. I programmed primarily in Node.js for the main application running on embedded Linux, with other system components developed in C, C++, and Rust.
