Operating a network of advanced tank terminals in Europe with a combined capacity of 6,3 million m3 over 8 terminals. By facilitating smooth-running customer supply chains ensuring the continuous flow of products that are essential to our lives. Everywhere in the world, storage terminals hold products that require special attention: Oil, Gas, and Chemicals. Plus all kinds of other liquids and half-solids. This complex business has many different stakeholders and partakers: Terminal operators, Stock owners, Transport agencies, Tax officials, and many others. To make the most of their operations, all of these entities must work together fluidly, transparently, and collaboratively. The key to this is data. The more accurate and accessible it is, the better the storage units can organize the keeping, fetching, and delivering of the products they hold. As tank farms are central hubs in the downstream supply chain, their capacity to work smoothly and efficiently is vital for all follow-up processes. That is where TMS (Terminal Management System) applications such as OpenTAS come in. A TMS application optimizes and automates logistic and administrative functions in oil & gas terminals.

As a member of the global project management team, managing a portfolio of implementation projects in the range of €1 - €6 million. Working with ADM Business, IT stakeholders, and 3rd party System Integrators, Manages remote project teams of 8-12 members. Reports to PMO Leader EMEA/SA region. Representative engagements include: • Leading the IT/OT relocation of 2 German-based operational laboratories, including a LIMS upgrade (to cloud version). Team of 15 FTE, Budget 750k€. • Leading the IT/OT launch of 2 Singapore-based laboratories for a newly established Joint Venture. Team of 10 FTE, Budget approx 1M€.

Global ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX) Project: 90+ mainly remote located maritime entities involved. Greenfield & carve out of local ERP instances to implement 1 uniform, harmonised, optimised way of working. Supported by mentioned ERP software across all identified core business processes to ensure single entry, complete, real time, online, timely availability of relevant, representative information company wide. Covering Procurement, Operations, Vessel Maintenance & repair, New Build, Sales & Finance. Consists of several business releases to safeguard manageable scope, achievable results, meeting all set objectives.

Covering infrastructure, hardware installations- & commissioning, concluding with software installations & commissioning: RFID, Sensors, SmartPort Process- & Equipment automation to realize fully automated terminals.

Core business: Dutch Wholesaler in building materials through 4 brands and 30+ affiliates. Program Management, covering: Managing ICT continuity (in control); Managing company-wide ERP (Infor/M3) application landscape; ICT resource management (in control); Reaching SEPA compliance (achieved); Company-wide roll out of KPN One Cloud communications. Providing 1 integrated, Cloud-based solution replacing all landline- & mobile telephony, internet, and online software (achieved); Initiating outsourcing of local ICT services (achieved); Initiating IT Roadmap envisioning (application rationalisation-/upgrade- & cloud migration). Achieved.

Led corporate-based project, serving three divisions (Chemicals, Soft Commodities and Metals). Replaced mission-critical homebrew applications with standard ERP software (Kewill, BluJay). Responsible for phased go-lives and milestone deliveries with complex dependencies due to requirement data extraction from four homebrew legacy systems. Reported to CFO, CEO, CIO. Redirected 35 interfaces (EAI & B2B), harmonizing 30 documents and reports, and accommodating authorities like customs, DCMR, and statistics. Met very complex customs regulations while eliminating non-compliances. Directed €6 million project budget while leading a team of 15 members. As the processes were rolled out, increasing annual business value was enjoyed as targeted.

Responsible for the project to increase the terminal capacity, implementing a Terminal Operating System software solution provided by Tata Consulting Services in an offshore delivery combined with on-site consultants and project manager. Made TOS fit into the IT landscape, incorporating financial integration for invoicing, order entries, weighbridge & Camco Gate scanning application. Reporting to CIO, CEO, led a project team of 15. Drove project for Terminal Vulcaanhaven (Vlaardingen) and four international sites in UK & Ireland. Limited storage capacity for trailers and new significantly larger vessels replacing the existing fleet within. Successfully delivered within time (1½ years) and €4 million budget. Annual business-case benefits were met.

Eneco Optimized procurement, assembly, logistics and financial settlement for Eneco/MDDS with SAP to support the roll-out of 80.000 smart meters for the consumer market. Identified and implemented quick wins and business process improvements. Reporting to CFO. The successful program resulted in an extra annual business benefit of €200k. Also acted as a senior project manager for ING, successfully reaching SOx compliant readiness state (business critical).

Core business of FrieslandCampina: Dairy company producing, selling & exporting consumer products, ingredients and half-finished products to manufacturers worldwide. Manager of respectively Order to Cash- & Purchase to Pay teams in SAP re-implementation program for a distinctive player in the dairy industry: Campina. The Order to Cash team consisted of 8 team members, The Purchase to Pay team of 9 team members. Successfully managed these teams in meeting their objectives, within time, budget and expectations, significantly contributing to the success of the entire program.

Respectively as a leading consultant, Project Manager enabled that major Customers like Shell, TNT, KPN, Essent, Hema & KLM could successfully leverage their core business running with SAP by means of identifying, contributing and delivering clearly defined, feasible projects.
