Nabil Kassir

Introduction

I am a Senior IT & Broadcast Engineer with over 20 years of experience in delivering reliable IT systems support, broadcast operations, and live production engineering across the Middle East. My expertise spans Network Infrastructure, Windows, Mac, InTune Support, OB Vans, DSNG, microwave links, intercom systems, vision mixers, uplink systems, and non-linear editing platforms. Lately, I served as Operations Engineer at the BBC (Beirut Bureau), where I provided first- and second-line IT and broadcast support across the Middle East region. I have led technical responses during live productions, implemented remote support solutions that reduced resolution times by 30%, and ensured zero downtime during critical broadcasts. My career has given me hands-on experience with leading vendor technologies, including BBC Academy, Grass Valley, Ross, Calrec, Riedel, ORAD, Yamaha, Imagine Nexio, and Vinten RoboCam. In addition, I bring strong IT integration skills, covering Microsoft Windows Server, InTune, MacOS, AirWatch, Jamf MDM, Cisco, and Mikrotik networking. I thrive in high-pressure live environments, collaborating with multinational teams and bridging IT with traditional broadcast workflows to deliver seamless operations. My goal is to continue contributing to world-class broadcasters and help integrate emerging IT and media solutions into complex production ecosystems.
