The French Robotics Cup is an annual national competition organized by Planète Sciences and the ARTEC Festival, bringing together more than 200 teams from universities, engineering schools, and enthusiast clubs. Each team is tasked with designing, programming, and assembling one or two autonomous robots capable of completing a series of technical challenges within a limited time, based on a detailed and annually renewed specification. This competition highlights cross-disciplinary skills in embedded systems, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, project management, and collaborative teamwork, in a dynamic environment that combines innovation, technical rigor, and creativity. 🎯 Context: We represented our university in this challenge as a multidisciplinary team of 8 members, each responsible for a robotic subsystem. 🔧 My role – System Engineer, in charge of the “King Kong” robot: - Technical specification of hardware and software subsystems - Design and development of embedded software (C/C++, Java, Linux) - Implementation of a web-based remote control interface - Development of movement strategy and game logic - Design and implementation of a custom pathfinding algorithm - Integration of sensors (ultrasonic, lidar) and coordination with the mechanical team - Participation in testing, debugging, and tuning sessions on a dedicated test bench - Preparation and delivery of the technical presentation to the jury 📈 Result: We ranked 9th overall out of more than 150 competing teams, with two fully functional, reliable, and competitive robots. This experience allowed me to strengthen my expertise in system engineering, embedded software architecture, and agile project management, while cultivating a strong team-oriented performance culture. --- IT Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Projects Manager,Project Estimation, Project Plans, Microsoft Project, Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Agile Project Management, Agile Leadership
