Following my audit in January 2016 of the ailing IT transformation project of some its European subsidiaries, the bank gave me the responsibility to implement the action plan devised with the primary goal to meet the requirements of the different banking regulatory authorities in time. By October 2016 a fully automated regulatory reporting solution was operational, and all of the regulatory requirements were met. In addition, the IT transformation plan had been re-engaged and by the end of 2017 all of the outdated hardware replaced with the migration of the architecture from Tier 1 data centres to a best in class Tier 3 data centre. Most of the architecture has been virtualized and hosting cost drastically reduced. Project phase 2 to replace or upgrade the mostly end of life software architecture has been completed mid 2019 with the delivery of SIRON EMBARGO KYC and AML modules to address Compliance requirements. Conducted with another freelance consultant the technical due diligence of a promising IT services and software development company located in Sofia.

Devised the IT strategic plan to support Taysir growth and address operational issues, then piloted the delivery of the recommendations that included accounting changes, Abacus re-migration and version upgrade, and solving the technical issues to connect Abacus with the mobile application developed by a Tunisian vendor. By the January 2016, all critical issues had been addressed and the new permanent CTO onboarded.

Interim CTO and advisor to the Chairman of the Board for this small bank, owned by the State of Tunisia, fighting to preserve its French banking licence agreement. Conducted the audit and built the organisation transformation plan towards improving non performing operations and ensuring solving non regulatory compliance issues, then delivered of a first set of key turn around improvements.

I was called to replace at once the leaving Program Manager for the implementation of T24. The project was in a difficult situation : It was one year behind schedule, had its phase 1 go-live postponed 3 times, demotivated project resources and loss of project credibility from the end-users-to-be. In 8 months, all the issues have been addressed, the bank went live on January 2nd 2012 and apart from a 2 hour shut down the first week, the system has since always been available for end-users. 2012 and 2013 have seen the progressive transformation of the project focused organization to handle as well production’s support and maintenance . 2014 has seen the delivery of the remainder of the IT transformation plan.
