FROM NOTHING TO NATIONALS - SEMIFINALS Most Improved Team Award - Enactus UK Nationals – Created and developed project Moki (see below). – Led and managed a truly international team (eight members/seven nationalities): empowered each team member and set the team culture. – Project management: organized and delegated effectively the workload, defined short-term and long-term goals, run weekly meetings, oversaw performance, met deadlines, got stakeholders on board, etc. – Member of the Enactus Aston Committee: helped develop society from scratch, supervised organization's activities, reported to the Advisory Board, established solid foundations for Enactus' continuous improvement. – Applied knowledge learned in "People & World Organizations" course about true teams (common goals, task interdependence, reflexivity), team dynamics and leadership. About project Moki: Moki is an international project meant to produce mosquito-repellent blankets in African countries suffering from mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria. The thin blankets would come as an ideal complement to the mosquito nets and other already-existing measures. The manufacturing would be realized through local social enterprises. Moki is also an international team of exceptional individuals from all over the world (UK, France, Hungary, Nigeria, South Korea, Thailand, China) striving to make a difference. As a project leader, I am thrilled to be part of such a thriving team. My role: My role includes presenting our project to the many stakeholders, recruiting society members, organizing team meetings, delegating effectively, empowering team members and, overall, setting the team culture. I am also part of the Enactus Aston Committee which oversees all activities of the society. We developed the society from scratch. We made it for the first time to the semi finals of the Enactus UK Nationals and won the "Most Improved Team" award.
