About me
Intro
Full-stack engineer with 4+ years of experience building and shipping user facing products from the ground up. I focus primarily on frontend and Web3 development, with hands on experience across EVM chains and ICP. In 2022 I co-founded TRAX, a venture-backed direct-to-fan music platform that raised $2.4M and reached 50,000 fans across 75 countries. As CTO, I led frontend architecture across web and native iOS, managed a team of 3 engineers, and owned feature delivery end-to-end. Building everything from custom audio streaming infrastructure and on-chain content storage to crypto payment flows, user authentication, and wallet integrations on ICP. More recently I designed and built CallGuard end to end as a solo developer, a full-stack SaaS product that automates missed call handling for UK tradespeople, which pushed my backend experience significantly. I'm currently available for contract, part-time, or remote full-time roles. If you're building something in the Web3, Al, or startup space and need a frontend or full-stack engineer who can own things independently and ship fast, feel free to reach out.

– Designed, architected, and shipped a full-stack B2B SaaS product end to end as a solo developer, from the first line of code through to production deployment and live customers. – The backend runs on Node.js and Express, built around background workers rather than synchronous webhook processing. Twilio sits at the centre of the telephony workflow, handling inbound call webhooks, SMS triage, WhatsApp alert delivery, and delivery status callbacks. Rather than processing everything in the webhook path, background workers poll Postgres for pending jobs, lock rows, and process them independently. This keeps the system fast, reliable, and idempotent even when Twilio retries or messages arrive in bursts. – An Al classification layer sits inside the inbound reply pipeline, extracting urgency, job type, postcode, and a clean summary from raw customer SMS replies before the alert is dispatched to the client. A scheduled reporting job queries Postgres weekly and delivers ROI style performance summaries to each customer covering recovered enquiries, reply rates, and estimated job value. – The frontend is built in React and TypeScript, covering the public-facing site, a live interactive demo, and a self serve onboarding flow, all communicating with the backend via REST API. The entire product is hosted on Render with a zero downtime deployment pipeline.

– Co-founded and led engineering at a venture backed direct-to-fan music platform, taking the product from pre-seed through to a £2.4M raise and 50,000 fans across 75 countries. As CTO I owned the entire frontend codebase across web and native iOS, managed a team of three engineers, and drove feature delivery end-to-end across the full product lifecycle. – On the technical side I architected and built the core platform interfaces in React, Next.js and TypeScript including artist onboarding flows, content upload and monetisation pages, analytics dashboards, and a customisable link-in-bio system used by 1,250 artists including Grammy-nominee GoldLink. Native iOS was delivered via Capacitor from a shared codebase, with significant work going into the audio streaming architecture, replacing a custom resource loader with a native-first AVPlayer pipeline that eliminated a class of instability bugs and reduced startup time across iOS and Android. – On the Web3 side I built a decentralised canister storage system on ICP giving artists direct ownership of their content canisters, along with a royalty sharing canister handling pay-per-access payments, on chain transaction verification, and automatic collaborator splits at the point of purchase. Both systems were built without documentation or community support, ICP being relatively new at the time. I also integrated Plug Wallet and Internet Identity for signing and on-chain payment flows. – As a team lead I ran sprint planning, reviewed code across frontend and backend, and mentored junior engineers. I worked closely with the design function translating Figma specs into production UI, and collaborated with the backend lead on infrastructure performance and system architecture decisions.

– Joined as a frontend Web3 developer at a decentralised hedge fund protocol built on Polygon, offering investors fixed and variable rate returns generated by an underlying algorithmic trading system running arbitrage and market-making strategies. – I was responsible for the full frontend trading dashboard and internal marketplace, built in Next.js and TypeScript with Framer Motion transitions throughout. This included surfacing real time position data, portfolio performance metrics, and yield tracking, pulling live on chain analytics from Glassnode and presenting it in a clean, responsive interface. – On the Web3 integration side I handled all wallet connection and transaction flows using ethers.js and Metamask, covering the full investment journey from wallet connection and transaction signing through to tracking live investment positions in the browser. I also wrote ethers.js test scripts to verify Solidity smart contract behaviour on Polygon prior to deployment. – The project was showcased at the Polygon Hackathon.
