Paolo Mason

Introduction

A senior physicist and data scientist, I have worked in numerous roles and organisations: nuclear physicist in academia (PostDoc level), neutron transport modeller / statistician / technical liaison between engineers and senior management in a large utility company, developer of algorithms for the analysis of financial and sensor data in, respectively, a FinTech company and a data science start-up and, most recently, investigator of alternative schemes to a deuterium-tritium plasma for fusion energy production. Thanks to this exposure to a wide variety of mindsets and perspectives, in addition to my experience as a model developer and my working knowledge of a vast spectrum of mathematical-statistics and machine-learning approaches, I hold the ability to deliver simple, robust and sustainable solutions to virtually any probabilistic problem of industrial relevance, notably in the fields of operational research and safety and reliability engineering.
