Accelerated the delivery bunq's new credit card product, resolving a 1-year delay within 12 weeks. Launched business loans and invoice financing products in 8 weeks, showcasing efficient product management.

Responsible for strategic recommendations and reporting to both CRO and institutional investors, based on thorough data and portfolio analysis. Led and managed several commercial initiatives which arose from risk analyses, delivering an overall 8% uplift in revenue. Developed first statistical risk model and credit strategy of Dutch branch, automating 25% of credit decisions and optimising lending to SMEs. Funding Circle is the leading global online marketplace where investors directly lend to small businesses in the UK and US, and formerly in Germany and Netherlands. Since mid 2010 Funding Circle has facilitated lending for 80,000+ investors, lending more than $10B to over 77,000 businesses globally.

Implemented a new operational risk reporting platform, enabling the business to monitor new key metrics. Provided training to all departments in all branches of the company (UK, Continental Europe and US). Loan data analysis, assessment of loan portfolio health, stress testing; reported results to senior level management in credit risk committee.

My main task at Crowdcube was to find innovative and disruptive businesses and start-ups that would be suitable for one or several equity crowdfunding rounds through the Crowdcube platform. This experience was very enriching as I encountered a great variety of businesses in terms of ideas, products, and styles of management. Furthermore, by immersing myself in the British start-up environment, I know the competitive landscape start-ups and young British businesses have to face and evolve in, a massive advantage in a time when entrepreneurship is looking, more than ever, like the way to recovery from recession. Finally, I am also aware of the stage at which equity crowdfunding is and where it is headed in the coming years.

Took part in development and contributed to better marketing of generic Top-Tevel Domain names (gTLD) as well as mapped the competitive landscape to better analyse competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.

I spent two weeks in the Debt Syndicate department of HSBC in London. Given my age at the time and the duration of this "internship", I did not do any actual work, for obvious reasons, but it was a hugely enriching experience. Indeed, even at the age of 15, I discovered and learned many things about the bond market and the world of finance in general, which, perhaps more importantly, confirmed my interest for that field of work.
