I contributed to the design and implementation of a robust Wallet microservice tailored for managing credit/debit transactions and updating user balances at scale. The multi-tenant architecture ensured seamless integration with various products such as Casino, Virtuals, Agency, and Sportsbook, facilitating wallet transactions efficiently. I spearheaded the migration from legacy monolithic code to a modern microservice architecture, hosted on AKS, with service-to-service communication facilitated via Grpc protocol. The redesigned solution used a single transaction table instead of the product-specific transaction tables used in the monolith. Furthermore, I led the implementation of an Event Streaming mechanism, leveraging Kafka, to publish wallet transaction events. These events underwent enhancement and processing before being synchronized with SQL tables for back-office operations and reporting. Additionally, they were synced with Data Lakes to empower the Data Engineering team for in-depth analysis. Similarly, I orchestrated the publication and enhancement of GameActivity events, syncing them with SQL tables for comprehensive reporting and analysis of various metrics like Bets, Wins, and Stakes. This streamlined approach replaced the cumbersome CDC process, relieving the primary database of excessive load. The solution's scalability is evidenced by its seamless handling of 12 million records daily, with real-time sync operations enabling back-office users to access secondary database reads effortlessly.

I oversaw the architectural planning and design of Platform Services, including Recommendation and Job Search functionalities. Notably, I led theimplementation of a central cache system for Recommendation services and spearheaded the redesign of the Job ingestion pipeline. This redesign involved the incorporation of various ETL stages such as Validation, Enhancement, and Processing. The Job ingestion pipeline now boasts a capability to process 5 million jobs at a rate of thousands per second, leveraging Azure Functions, Azure Queues, and Tables. To optimize communication with Python applications at scale, Grpc was employed, with Linkerd facilitating load balancing for Python Grpc services. Furthermore, I took charge of driving architectural initiatives, including the evaluation of open-source messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, and Apache Pulsar, as alternatives to Azure Cloud-specific services. This initiative aimed to enhance flexibility and performance across the platform. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in migrating Solr to version 8.x, ensuring adherence to best practices concerning sharding, replicas, and autoscaling for optimal performance and scalability.

Involved with Center of Excellence(CoE) team and worked on different tasks like presales, technology offerings/accelerators, thought leadership and more. Worked on IoT based Cookie House and Connected Car offering which is part of Connected Enterprise 2018 Vienna event. Both these offerings are part of Azure cloud and uses Azure services like Speech and voice recognition part of Azure cognitive services, IoT Hub, Edge computing and more. The event was to show IoT based capabilities to various prospective clients in Europe region and got very positive response from them and led to new projects wins. Architecture and implementation of multi-tenant application for retail omnichannel solution provider. The main feature of the solution was extension of UI and backend services by tenants for their specific needs. Worked on various Azure cloud-based tasks like azure cloud governance, zero-downtime deployment using deployment strategies like Blue/Green deployment and Canary Deployment. Worked on building and maintaining accelerators like framework for microservices using Distributed Domain Drive Design(DDDD) and CQRS pattern which is been used in multiple projects within various delivery teams across company. Involved in various Presales RFP wins where I had provided solution architecture and estimates.
