Working to a tight timeframe to build and deploy a multivariate, multi-scenario data model with projections and analyses for costs, savings, energy pathways, and emissions by boroughs and LSOAs for the 2025 – 2050 Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP). I also delivered training and guidance to permanent staff for BAU and maintenance.

Developing data warehouse SQL and SSAS data models with DAX measures for PowerBI. Reviewing SQL and DAX against requirements, definitions and user acceptance criteria for feature requests. Primarily using: Azure DevOps, T-SQL, SSAS, SSMS, SQL Source Control, SQL Compare, Tabular Editor, Visual Studio, git, DAX, and PowerBI - with data from Rio, EMIS, and ESR. Three-month contract.

I developed new processes to provide automated daily and real-time reporting which greatly increased the scope, availability, accuracy, and efficiency of reporting, led to the identification and resolution of numerous data quality issues, and enabled quality assurance, monitoring, audits, and external reporting from on-premises databases. I subsequently led BI development for the service to support and quality assure data and database migrations, ETL / ELT from REST API (JSON) to SQL, and all downstream reporting and data quality monitoring. I also led the development of several service-level demand and capacity models, supported development of corporate dashboards, and delivered processes, SOPs, and training to maintain BAU for all the above. Primarily using Azure Data Factory, MS SQL / T-SQL, SSMS, MS Excel with PowerQuery, PowerPivot, VBA, and data from Carestream R4, SOEL Health, Dentally (API / JSON) ESR, EMIS, SystmOne, and ELMS2 (Ethitec). An initial three-month contract was extended several times.

Engaged to develop demand and capacity models to inform service management and allocation of resources across the Trust. Primarily using MS Excel with PowerQuery, PowerPivot, VBA, and datasets for CAMHS, Adults, Diabetes, Eating Disorders, and Rapid Response services.

Developed data warehouse ETL / ELT processes, reports, analyses, and dashboards for Covid-19 tests and vaccinations, coding improvement, and other activity across the Trust. Primarily using MS SQL / TSQL, SSMS, O365 including MS Excel with PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, and datasets including SimplyBook, Empactis, NIMS, and ESR and data models for admitted patients and outpatients. An initial two-month contract was extended twice.

Leading on the specification, design, and build of a data warehouse including requirements gathering, options appraisals, and project management. I led the development of ETL / ELT processes, SQL queries and stored procedures, data mapping, transition from CV2 / CTV3 to SNOMED read codes, development of RTT reporting, and analyses to streamline and quality assure reporting for contract, workforce, and financial management. I also supported a migration from local server to Azure VM and the development of agile working methodologies. Primarily using MS SQL / TSQL, SSMS, SSIS, Visual Studio, C#, O365 including MS Excel with PowerQuery, PowerPivot and VBA, MS Sharepoint, Azure DevOps, and datasets including SystmOne, EMIS, eRS, ePACT, Infoflex, PeopleHR, Biotronix, and Carestream. An initial six-month contract was extended several times.

Helping to develop a new team with a focus on measurement for improvement, statistical process control (SPC), and process design and redesign to improve data and information flows across the Trust. Primarily using MS Excel with VBA, SQL, and datasets from various systems including Cerner and Datix, I also had line management responsibilities for administrative support.

Working with large datasets in an agile team to develop segmented analyses, forecast and scenario models, and reports that supported NHS workforce planning at national and sub-national levels. Primarily using SQL / TSQL, SSMS, Tableau, MS Excel with PowerQuery, PowerPivot, DAX, VBA, and ESR, GMC, and NTSC datasets. An initial four-month contract was extended several times.

Leading on development of reporting processes and production of management information including dashboards and narrative reports for the board, management teams, regulatory compliance, and external benchmarking. Primarily using Business Objects / Infoview, MS Excel with VBA, and datasets from Northgate and CRM / 1View, I also had line management responsibilities for two Performance Assistant posts. An initial three-month contract was extended several times

Supporting system migrations and planning, implementation, and development of reporting through identification of data sources, reporting pathways, and deliverable KPIs for 17 inbound services. Working with the CCG and two Trusts to develop options appraisals and to ensure that all stakeholders were appropriately informed and involved as the migration project progressed to successful completion. Primarily using MS Access, MS Excel, and datasets from SystmOne and PIMS. An initial two-month contract was extended to six months.

Working with the council’s adult social care management team and the CCG to support the integration of health and social care services, produce analyses including pathway and process mapping and risk stratification, and to improve data capture and data quality across health and social care. Primarily using Business Objects / Infoview, MS Excel with VBA, and datasets from Framework-I. An initial three-month contract was extended to six months.

Gathering evidence and producing analyses and narrative reports to support benchmarking and annual performance assessments of adult social care services provided by several London boroughs. Initially seconded from Enfield Council for six months, the secondment was extended several times.

Developing systems for monitoring, reporting, analysis and quality assurance to support service planning, delivery and improvement across health and adult social care. Primarily using Business Objects, MS Excel with VBA, and datasets from CareFirst and Rio, I also had line management responsibilities for three Performance Assistant posts.
