Backend Javascript Developer Cubyn is a young startup which is growing rapidly. While working at Cubyn, I learned how to use ES6 thanks to Babel, and replaced my callbacks with promises using BlueBird. I wrote a script which would parse Excel files according to a template and save the contents to the database. I found and used responsive email templates open-sourced by MailGun and tested on all email clients. Unit testing with Mocha. lodash also came in handy regularly. Database used was MySQL and the ORM was Sequelize.js. I wrote a small and simple library to use with the SlimPay HAPI using request and traverson with traverson-hal, and another to use with the GoCardless API. PCB is a startup Excubator. Project n°1: --------------- PCB's main project was a paintball first-person shooter mobile game for which a PC version was requested by the community. In order to raise funds, a crowdfunding platform tailored to this PC version campaign was needed. I benchmarked payment systems for specific crowdfunding requirements, Intergrated a paypal module into a crowdfunding application. Helped developed said crowdfunding application using an obscure PHP CMS. Translations using PoEdit Integrated the landing page using Launchrock. The project I was supposed to work on was put on hold when I arrived. I helped out any way I could and learnt quite a bit doing it. I was able to witness from within what the hidden part of the Iceberg looks like. Amazing company and a memorable experience.
