My work focused on creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences that address the unique challenges faced by travelers seeking convenience and familiarity when exploring destinations. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 1. Conducted user research and usability testing to understand traveler pain points, preferences, and cultural nuances. 2. Designed end-to-end user flows for core features such as flight booking, accommodation discovery, and cultural experiences. 3. Created high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes in Figma to bring concepts to life. 4. Collaborated closely with developers and product managers to ensure design feasibility and maintain consistency across platforms. 5. Applied design thinking principles to iterate and refine solutions based on feedback and analytics. 6. Ensured responsive, mobile-first design for an optimal experience across devices. This role allowed me to merge UX strategy, visual design, and cultural empathy to build a product that resonates deeply with its audience while maintaining a modern, seamless travel experience.

DeFiner.org is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that allows users to securely lend, borrow, and earn interest on digital assets without intermediaries. Initially, I was brought on as a contractor to contribute to the research and development of Definer.org, then promoted (Jan 2023) to a versatile role encompassing product design, user experience strategy, interface design, and front-end development. 1. Increased user engagement by 25% by leading the redesign of a key product feature (DeFi wallets), focusing on improved usability and intuitive interface design. 2. Reduced onboarding time by 30% by creating a streamlined user flow, enhancing the overall user experience and satisfaction 3. Mentored and developed junior designers, leading to a 15% increase in team productivity and design quality. 4. Increased user retention through iterative usability testing and data-driven design enhancements, addressing key pain points and improving the overall user experience.

Medical Departures is a company that helps patients find and book affordable, high-quality medical and dental care abroad by connecting them with trusted healthcare providers worldwide. Hired as the first product designer for Medical Departures, my deliverables for this remote role were product design, marketing strategy, content development, and digital asset management. 1. Accelerated product delivery by 15% by implementing a standardized design system, reducing design and development time across multiple products. 2. Reduced user errors by conducting comprehensive usability tests and applying insights to refine and simplify user interfaces. 3. Boosted user satisfaction by 22% by delivering user-centered design solutions that directly addressed user feedback and business objectives. 4. Ensured cross-functional collaboration, resulting in a 10% improvement in project timelines and a more cohesive product development process.

Oppia is an Education Technology Company based in Lagos, Nigeria. Oppia is a free online learning tool that enables anyone to easily create and share interactive activities (called 'explorations'). Oppia’s focus is on kids in underrepresented areas and these kids in these areas aren’t so fluent in English. I was a Founding Product Designer and these are the projects I worked on during my time there: 1. The Oppia Mobile App: I designed the mobile app (Android&iOS) which now has up to 100k+ downloads. I designed the Play/App Store screenshots and which increased the download rate up to 35% 2. The Oppia Translation Feature: I, alongside a UX Researcher and a Product Manager worked on a Translation Feature to help kids that didn’t understand English. The feature helps the kids to translate the lessons to their preferred language and this makes the app more inclusive.
