Living Goods (LG) – Senior Engineer- Data & Visualization Nairobi, Kenya 03/2022 - Current Living Goods is an international non-government organization (NGO) that aims to save lives at scale by supporting digitally empowered community health workers (CHWs). As a Dashboards Engineer, ● Led the development of enterprise level data systems (Data, Dashboards and Analytics) using various technology and data sources. ● Developed dashboards, automated reports, report templates and presentations by analyzing Living Goods and Partner data. ● Influenced organization decisions through state-of-the-art analytics and helped LG's partners to identify understandable, actionable, data-driven insights and quickly identify key themes from their data. ● Works with other health teams and designers to understand, clarify and document partner data analysis and reporting needs. ● Provides guidance and insight on data visualization options for dashboard design. ● Worked with the support and Monitoring and Evaluation teams to enhance data collection structures and procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems. ● Developed component-based web apps to integrate multiple sources of metrics / tools. ● Devised and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects ● Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluates their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.). ● Ensured digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses. ● Troubleshot data-related problems and authorizes maintenance or modifications.

Was part of a team of Solutions Developers involved in building, implementing and supporting Business Intelligence solutions within the organization using but not limited to SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS Power BI, Tableau and Excel. This role involved: • Requirement gathering with different stakeholders as well as design and implementation of the requirements gathered. • System integration. • Design and implementing Databases, Data Warehouse, Data marts and Cubes. • Writing and maintaining Stored Procedures Functions and Views. • Writing and maintaining ETL Packages.
