Managed IT operations and all technology plans across approximately 30 diversified companies that are subsidiaries of one of the largest private business groups in Qatar. Work included and required the following activities: • Responsibility for the technical vision and long-term strategic direction, as well as research and development to carry out the group's business plans • Piloted and rolled out Enterprise solutions; Software: Oracle's ERP Suite, Company wide HR and Payroll system, Intranet Portals, Hardware: Enterprise Server Farm with SAN Storage Architecture, Network: A secure and redundant multi-location network infrastructure. All of these key projects/applications are implemented to strengthen quality of service, improve reliability, and reduce cost. • Developed strategic plans for implementation and operation of client services, product support, quality assurance and training programs • Led the effort of IT infrastructure design (Data, Voice, IPTV, and all other low voltage solutions) for 5 major Hotels owned by the group in Doha • Spearheaded the development of a standard process for IT software development based on industry best practices. This process is a framework that starts with business engagement to roll out and delivery

Worked on projects sponsored by AT&T and IBM. Duties included leading/supervising a number of projects that specify architecture and produce system requirements for the design of end-to-end IT service e-business related solutions and systems. This included: • Design and implementation strategies needed to produce state-of-the optimized data communication and e-business systems to be used by AT&T and IBM customers worldwide in and ever expanding market • Specification of all software and hardware network components as well as the design and specification of all telecommunication methods required for an efficient and optimum operation • Enterprise Projects and Solutions delivery planning, staffing, and budget estimation • Designing system interfaces to existing production systems for data transmission and linkage and designing security and authentication protocols to ensure secure and proper operation
