I built an R&D team inside a large BPO group: Sitel. What our missions were: - Understand new technologies, by getting our hands dirty and perceive possible applications for the world of customer care. - Evangelize within the group, propose and spread convictions about possible applications. - Communicate outside of the group, with customers or at public events - Experimenting and quickly prototyping future products AI related projects: - We created the first industrialized data classifier, aiming to enhance NLU engines (Wit.ai, Dialogflow, LUIS, Rasa and others) using customer voice as training materials, and customer agents to do the classification job. The application included quality and productivity monitoring tools (dashboard and reporting, accuracy measurement) and protection against human errors (cross validation, moderation, tests dataset and performance measurement). - We put up a Suggestion engine, aiming to facilitate and enhance agents answering conversations by suggesting them the next best answers. The tools took those answers from existing knowledge bases (articles, FAQ, ...) or from past conversations. - We worked with clustering algorithms (LDA, Doc2Vec, FastText, BTM), RNN (LSTM or bidirectional LSTM, mainly) and NLP tools (NER, POS-tagging, Dependency parsing, ...). - We set up industrialized pipelines to process contact centers data and test and evaluate different combination of neural networks. - We built a benchmarking solution for third party NLU engines - Our main programming tools were Tensorflow, Space, Keras, Hyperopt, and others... Voice related projects: - We built a voice bot on Alexa and Google Home - We built a benchmarking solutions for ASR - We built a conversational IVR VR related projects: we built a 3D experience from contact centers data using Unity, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. We met and audited more than 20 tech companies to advise the Sitel Group on partnership or acquisition. We spoke at conferences.
