Introduction
At the intersection of two distinct fields is often where true innovation emerges. Introducing fresh perspectives informed by radically different prior experience can be the creative edge needed to keep projects from becoming stale. That's where I come in. I bring the following skillset: -Scientific research -Data analysis -Integrating theoretical approaches -Advanced problem solving -Communicating technical information which I honed in my time as an astrophysics student and researcher working on various projects including optimizing micromegas chips for the 2018 update of the Large Hadron Collider (CERN in Geneva, Switzerland), developing methods for NASA probes to extract materials from asteroids, and testing distinct arrangements for Pulsar Timing Array setups to maximize signals of gravitational waves from the mergers of supermassive black hole binaries. Though I was fascinated conceptually by Astrophysics and the research I was doing, I longed for a career where I could have a more tangible impact and work as part of a collaborative effort to identify users’ needs and provide for them. Now as a UI/UX designer, I leverage my prior experience as an astrophysics student to produce calculated and intuitive user experiences. In UI/UX design I’m able to combine my analytical and technical skills with my creativity and empathy to produce user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes. During my time as a UI/UX designer, I’ve developed the following skills -User research -Prototyping/wireframing/journey mapping/story boarding -Visual communication -Usability testing Additionally, I am proficient in UI/UX design tools such as Google Analytics, Axure RP, InVision Studio Proto.io, and Sketch/Figma. Participated in the IPTA (International Pulsar Timing Array) Conference in Pune, India (2019). Used Python to conduct simulations of PTAs (pulsar timing arrays) consisting of millisecond and canonical pulsars and employed equations referenced from X. Siemens et al. (2013) to provide preliminary results for the sensitivity of competing PTA set ups.

Tested various experimental set-ups that simulated the low-gravity conditions of asteroids in space. Used python video processing software to perform semi-quantitative analyses of photoelastic particles, revealing the dynamics of the propagation of vector forces from a probe. Extrapolated experimental data to simulate NASA space probes that will extract materials from asteroids. Compiled data and results into a culminating research presentation.
