For E.g., conducted and presented a technical study to overcome the problem of opening the Louvre Museum before the infrastructure networks are fully operational and obtained Client approval on the proposed scenario.  Prepared technical analysis of MEP services, contract change orders/claims, and operational cost estimates, variations from budget/ time, detailing the cost impact of changes and modifications.  Liaised with authorities to facilitate the consultants' and contractors' approvals and to avoid hampering the project's progress. Granted a waiver from the Electricity Authority from applying newly introduced regulations which had -if imposed- a tangible impact on the project.

Key Achievements and Responsibilities:  Led the tender team to win aggressive tenders by accepting reasonably calculated risks and by providing optimum engineering solutions to the project's tender (for D&B projects).  Led the negotiations with the Clients for the MEP works at the pre-award stage. Reached notable agreements with the Clients to reach a win-win situation which pushed the Company to be awarded the projects.  Contributed, whenever applicable, to the business development plans related to the MEP field to achieve the goals set by the company policy.  Monitored the time and cost performance of regional projects' MEP section and intervened, whenever found necessary, to improve it.  Delivered profitability above planned levels. This was demonstrated through the Banha Power Station project where an extra profit of 11% for the MEP Works was achieved.  Planned and concluded a complete restructuring of the MEP team associated with the re-distribution of responsibilities and reduce/eliminate the inequality among the team members.  Increased the MEP Department's efficiency by changing the organization and procedures, enhancing communications with other departments, and reducing operational costs.

Designation Chronology: § Started as MEP Engineer from Aug '07 till Mar '09; then promoted to Senior MEP Engineer till Oct '09 and finally uplifted to MEP Manager on Apr’11. Key Project to Credit:  Al-Mas Tower: Consists of 5 Basements + 65 floors, 365m in height. (36 million USD MEP Works). Key Achievements and Responsibilities:  Synchronized the operations of electrical and mechanical works with civil activities and with the Consultant, Subcontractors, Suppliers, PM & CM to manage resources efficiently. Successfully resolved various scope gaps between the 5 subcontractors involved in MEP works (main MEP, lifts, security systems, telecom).  Established testing schedule for subcontractor's work, evaluated and analyzed resources, and ensured compliance with quality standards, construction schedule, and material delivered.  Monitored on-site work to corroborate compliance with contract requirements and schedule and provided recommendations on subcontractor performance, abilities, and suitability for bidding on certain jobs.  Scrutinized subcontractors'/suppliers’ proposals, samples, shop drawings, and technical data to sustain quality standards, eliminate problems, suggest improvements, and escalate unresolved issues to the Project Manager for timely solutions.
