About me

Intro

Full-stack engineer turned AI engineer – 10+ years in TypeScript and Node.js, now building production agentic systems: LLM agents with tool-calling over live business data, unstructured-document pipelines (OCR → schema-validated JSON), and the eval loops that keep them trustworthy. Former Engineering Manager (teams of 4 to 9) who went back to building. High ownership, pragmatic: I ship a good solution today and iterate behind feature flags.

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer – AI & Agentic Systems

Najar

Jun 2026 - Present

5 months

– Built Najar Agent, a production LLM agent answering procurement questions over live company data: 5 permission-gated read tools (commitments, vendors, savings, shadow IT, purchase projects), streaming with interrupt, CSV export, clarifying questions on ambiguous requests and off-topic guardrails – multi-step tool-calling loop with selective stop conditions. – Optimised agent latency and reliability: built a benchmark harness measuring TTFT, steps, reasoning tokens, prompt-cache hit ratio and per-tool payload size against a real org (311 commitments, 875 vendors), then capped tool payloads to stop them flooding the model context. – Designed the document-extraction pipeline, unstructured documents → schema-validated JSON: AWS Textract (tables + forms) → LLM classification (9 categories → 5 kinds) → gated per-type extraction (hybrid PDF vision + OCR text) → deterministic post-processing. One endpoint, Zod-validated contracts, same pipeline in every environment. – Built the eval loops that keep those features honest: per-field deterministic scorers with a hallucination rate, LLM-as-judge on conversation quality, committed fixtures for offline replay. New vs legacy pipeline benchmarked at 86% vs 84% field accuracy; found and fixed a silently broken suite (0% → 88%). – Own Brief Copilot end-to-end, the conversational intake turning a free-text purchase request into a structured, API-validated brief: LLM-driven track detection (renewal / replacement / new purchase), predictive checklist with conditional skipping, deterministic catalog matching, and commitment linking that stops legacy contracts silently auto-renewing.
