Walid Ben Romdhane

At the intersection of data, AI, and marketing technology, I lead the design and delivery of cloud-native solutions that enable major retail, e-commerce, automotive, and travel brands to achieve smarter targeting, personalization, and campaign efficiency. - I design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures on GCP, integrating real-time workflows, marketing APIs, and cross-platform data activation. - I develop and productize AI-driven modules, from NLP-based sentiment analysis and marketing analytics to creative optimization powered by VisionAI, Gemini, and VertexAI. - I oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, from design through client handovers and workshops, while mentoring engineers and ensuring best practices in software, data, and AI engineering. These projects have delivered measurable business outcomes, such as 50–75% increases in conversion rates, significant ROI gains, and strengthened RFP wins through impactful PoCs.

Contributed to a European learning analytics initiative by developing an item-based recommender system that applied NLP and machine learning to personalize learning experiences. Piloted technical work-packages, led integrations with Python/Flask and Moodle plugins, and built analytics tools to model learner progress. Also helped organize international hackathons and open education events to support scientific outreach and collaboration (FAIR multinational Hackathon, Utopiales, Nuit des chercheurs, Fête de la science ...)

Led the design and implementation of a secure SIP-based VOIP platform for call centers, from architecture and technology choices to full deployment. Developed core modules including predictive dialers, monitoring dashboards, and decision-support tools, which improved efficiency, reliability, and call quality for operators.
