As part of my apprenticeship, I contributed to several key data and analytics initiatives within the energy division, working closely with business teams and external consultants. Key Responsibilities: • Reporting & Data Visualization: ◦ Migrated all Excel-based reports to Power BI, improving data accessibility and visualization. ◦ Performed data cleaning, transformation, and modeling using SQL, PL/SQL, Python , R and Power Query. • Data Quality & Monitoring: ◦ Designed and implemented PL/SQL procedures to detect data anomalies and ensure data quality across Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. • Tool Development & Automation: ◦ Built a VBA tool integrated with stored procedures to monitor energy consumption and automatically send reports to the DOAAT (Direction Optimisation Amont Aval Électricité). ◦ Developed a VBA and SQL-based tool to track Guarantees of Origin (GO) energy consumption. • Cross-functional Collaboration: ◦ Collaborated with the Sourcing and Costing teams, as well as AUSY consultants, on topics related to energy consumption and sourcing strategies. Thesis Project – Machine Learning: • Developed a predictive model to forecast energy sourcing needs based on historical sourcing data from the past three years. ◦ Built and trained the model using historical data. ◦ Packaged the model into a deployable object for integration into existing workflows.
