building and optimizing the web conference project of the french government as part of Apitech's team. based on the open source project jitsi-meet https://preprod.webconf.numerique.gouv.fr is the local solution for web conferencing between agents. it is deployed in France and implements new features tailored to specific needs of the government. technical stack: back-end : Node.js - Express.js - Nest.js - openID connect - SOA databases : mongoDB - Mongoose - Postgresql - Typeorm - prometheus - front-end : react.js - Redux - scss - matrialUI - design system de l'Etat devOps: gitlab CI/CD, Linux Debian, docker compose/swarm tasks: - moving from templating engine (ejs) to React.js SPA front-end with redux toolkit and rtk query - transform the backend server to REST API (Express.js) - creating secure RESTFUL API endpoints - adding OPENID Connect functionality with Passport.js to the authentication process (France Connect) - building an Express.js library to collect data metrics and store them to mongodb (using the aggregation framework) and using grafana to display them - dockerizing the node.js app and the react app and serving the build folder with nginx instance - building Gitlab CI pipline to build and deploy built images to local docker registry - migrating from CRA to vite.js - migrating all services to nestjs
