About me
Intro
I’m an embedded firmware engineer with a focus on automotive and IoT systems, specializing in safety-critical firmware for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and connected embedded platforms. I’ve developed low-level firmware on Infineon Tricore TC3XX microcontrollers and implemented Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) for TI ASICs in high-voltage BMS designs, contributing to next-generation electric vehicle architectures.

Project 1 – BMS for Electric Vehicles: - Developed and optimized safety-critical firmware for a high-voltage BMS in EVs, targeting compliance with ISO 26262 ASIL D. - Integrated Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) for TI BQ series ASICs, compliant with AUTOSAR MCAL. - Programmed safety features on Infineon Tricore TC3XX, enabling accurate cell monitoring and diagnostics across 96-cell packs. - Implemented fault handling: watchdogs, self-tests, redundant sensing, and runtime memory protection. - Used JTAG/UDE for low-level debugging and resolved flash memory access issues. - Wrote Python/Shell scripts to automate post-build handling of hex/bin artifacts. - Led board bring-up and integration with hardware and QA teams across the product lifecycle. Project 2 – BMS Firmware Migration & Modbus Integration (Sunlight Group): - Led the migration from a single-core SPC584B70 to a dual-core SPC58EC80, separating safety and functional logic. - Defined custom linker scripts, crt0 startup routines, and IVOR handlers to enable dual-core execution. - Developed memory protection and hardware semaphore drivers to ensure safe inter-core communication. - Built drivers for SPI, LIN, and peripheral clock control, plus a coreXchange module for shared data. - Adapted a single-core bootloader for dual-core use, with redefined memory mapping and safety zones. Modbus over Ethernet: - Integrated LWIP and FreeModbus stacks on SPC58EC80, enabling Modbus TCP/IP communication. - Configured Ethernet controller, designed register maps, and allocated memory zones for application, heap, and protocol handling.

Project: Caralgo IoT Device – Hybrid BLE/LoRa Solution for Vehicle Usage Tracking. - Analyzed system specifications to define firmware architecture and communication flow for a low-power real-time IoT device using LoRaWAN and BLE. - Developed embedded C firmware for LoRa communication on Helium and Objenious networks, implementing and updating the LoRa state machine to support bidirectional data exchange and adaptive data rates. - Integrated LittleFS for robust flash storage management, ensuring data integrity and fault-tolerant behavior during unexpected power loss and restarts. - Designed and added custom BLE GATT services, enabling a smartphone to act as a gateway for MQTT-based data transmission in areas with no LoRa coverage. - Conducted unit, integration, and field testing to validate full data flow under real-world conditions. - Authored and maintained technical documentation including API specs, data flow diagrams, and protocol integration notes to support future maintenance and certification.
