Founding Infrastructure & Security Engineer

Fintech startup launched in 2023 and based in Paris.
The company is building a platform enabling the issuance and seamless access to next-generation financial instruments, designed to be internet-native and transferable 24/7.

Its first products are Money Market Funds approved by the French Financial Markets Authority, offering individuals and companies programmable access to risk-free rates in euros and dollars.

Today, the platform manages more than $1B in assets.

The team is currently composed of ~8 engineers. The company is hiring a Founding Infrastructure & Security Engineer, the first role fully dedicated to infrastructure, security, and reliability (previously handled by full-stack engineers).

Role & Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare) via Terraform

• Operate Kubernetes environments (via Qovery)

• Improve reliability, observability, and performance

• Define infrastructure standards and deployment best practices

Security

• Implement continuous security scanning and vulnerability detection

• Evaluate and deploy AI-powered pentesting tools

• Manage external security audits

• Enforce application and cloud security best practices

Corporate IT & Compliance

• Manage VPN, SSO, MFA and access control

• Handle onboarding/offboarding from a systems perspective

• Drive ISO 27001 compliance (policies, controls, evidence)

• Respond to internal security incidents

Must-have criteria

• 5–10 years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure / Security

• Strong dual expertise: infrastructure + security

• Mastery of Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS and/or GCP

• Hands-on experience in:

  • security scans

  • vulnerability management

  • pentesting (coordination + remediation)

• Experience in ISO 27001 environments

• Background in demanding tech environments (fintech or equivalent)

• Ability to operate in a structuring / early-stage environment

Candidate profile

• 5+ years in infrastructure / DevOps / security roles

• Able to work autonomously and define roadmap

• Comfortable in an English-speaking environment

• Curious, pragmatic, hands-on

• Experience in regulated environments (fintech, capital markets) is a plus

Compensation & setup

• Salary: €75k – €95k + stock options

• Remote: 2 days/week + 1 full remote week/month

1. 5-10 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or security engineering roles

2. Experience in infrastructure and security (dual expertise required)

3. Proficiency with Terraform (infrastructure as code), Kubernetes, and AWS and/or GCP

4. Experience with application and infrastructure security including security scans, vulnerability management, and pentesting (coordination and remediation)

5. Experience working in environments compliant with ISO 27001

6. Background in a demanding tech company, preferably fintech or equivalent

7. Ability to work autonomously and define own roadmap

8. Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment
