Dealing & Fund Distribution functional analyst

You'll act as the link between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating fund order processing, dealing workflows, distributor connectivity and operational processes into concrete functional solutions. This role suits someone who combines solid business analysis skills with real knowledge of investment funds, order routing, transfer agency activity and fund distribution platforms.

Business analysis & requirements

• Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements around fund dealing and distribution

• Turn business needs into clear, detailed functional specifications for the development teams

• Document business processes, workflows, use cases and data flows

• Take part in solution design workshops with business and IT stakeholders

• Keep business requirements and technical delivery aligned throughout

Dealing & fund distribution

• Analyse the end-to-end fund order lifecycle: subscription, redemption, switch, transfer

• Support improvements to dealing platforms and distributor connectivity

• Help optimise order routing, execution and settlement processes

• Contribute to transfer agency integration and fund distribution projects

• Support reconciliation, exception management and operational controls

Testing & delivery

• Define test strategies and build functional test scenarios

• Run functional testing and support UAT

• Validate data quality and system behaviour across interfaces

• Support production releases and post-go-live activities

Stakeholder management

• Work closely with Operations, Dealing, Compliance, Product Management and IT

• Coordinate between business users, developers and external providers

• Maintain functional specifications and project documentation

• 5+ years as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or Product Analyst in Asset Management, Fund Distribution or Financial Services

• A background that started in software development before moving into functional/business analysis is a strong plus

• Solid understanding of fund dealing and fund distribution processes

• Experience working with Transfer Agents, fund platforms or Asset Managers

• A track record delivering system implementation or business transformation projects

• Comfortable across: investment funds (UCITS/AIFs), fund distribution, fund order management, transfer agency, subscription/redemption processes, settlement & reconciliation, distributor connectivity, fund operations

• Familiarity with some of: Allfunds, Calastone, Clearstream Fund Centre, Euroclear FundsPlace, Fundsettle

• Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence, SQL, Excel, BPMN/UML, API and system integrations, data analysis/reporting tools

• Good grasp of MiFID II, UCITS, AIFMD, AML/KYC and cross-border fund distribution rules

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, analytical mindset, autonomy, and comfort working across business and technical teams in an international environment
