This isn't a sales role. It's advisory and research: you act as a guide who understands a client's business, maps the Belgian and Dutch market around it, and identifies the right contacts and opportunities to pursue.

You're the guide, not the closer. Companies come to this team already convinced they want to grow internationally, your job is to understand their business deeply enough to know who in Belgium is actually worth approaching, and why. You don't sell; you diagnose, research, and connect.
Genuine intellectual range. One project is mapping the gourmet food retail landscape for a producer from southern France; the next is scoping industrial partners for an aluminum manufacturer, or researching distribution channels for an electric-boat brand. Every mandate starts from a blank page: new sector, new questions, real market research each time.
A unique institutional position. This branch is the only one in the group's network combining a full banking operation with a 50-year-old advisory desk. That gives your research and introductions a level of credibility that independent consultants or public agencies can't easily match.

What you'll do

• Understand a client company's business, sector, and international ambitions in depth

• Conduct market research and mapping in Belgium and the Netherlands: sector landscape, key players, potential partners or acquisition targets

• Identify and qualify the individuals and organizations worth introducing to the client: distributors, industrial partners, financial partners

• Prepare structured market studies and recommendations tailored to each client

• Activate the group's international network (dedicated export subsidiary, international business club, 36 offices in 50+ countries) to support your research

• Represent the bank in outreach calls and meetings to open credible first contacts

What we're looking for

• Master's or Bachelor's in economics, management, or international business

• Prior experience in consulting, market research, or business advisory, comfortable analyzing an unfamiliar sector and producing a structured deliverable under time pressure

• Fluent in French and Dutch, professional English, as you'll engage with Belgian business leaders (FR & NL) and an international network (EN)

• A genuine "chameleon" profile: someone who can immerse themselves in a new industry quickly, ask the right questions, and adapt their approach client by client

• Comfortable engaging directly with company leadership, by phone and in person
