We are actively seeking a Solution Architect for a long-term freelance contract within a major European agency.

Based in Strasbourg, you will fulfil a hybrid role encompassing Technology Architect, Data Architect, and Applications/Services Architect. You will translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable architectures aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Acting as the key interface between business and technical teams, you will be involved in the design, governance, and evolution of solutions within an agile, multicultural, and demanding environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Translate business and functional requirements into clear, structured conceptual architecture models.

• Identify reusable components and define the technological solutions best suited to the organisation's objectives.

• Design and evolve architecture models throughout the solution lifecycle, incorporating new technological developments and emerging requirements.

• Ensure the consistency and quality of technical implementation by providing the necessary specifications to project teams and offering support in resolving issues during development, testing, and operations.

• Produce and deploy customised artefacts (reports, data import/export scripts, diagrams, layouts, object designs, configurations), according to project needs.

• Identify interdependencies between systems, infrastructures, and projects, and balance competing demands to ensure the delivery of outputs in a multi-team context.

• Advise on governance and modelling and architecture tools, defining the conventions, procedures, methods, and configurations appropriate to each assignment.

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in at least one of the following sub-roles: Technology Architect, Data Architect, and Applications/Services Architect.

• TOGAF Practitioner certification required.

• Proficiency in modelling and architecture tools (e.g. Sparx EA) and in the main IT domains: security, cloud, data, integration, and networking. Knowledge of biometrics is an asset.

• Experience with on-premise, virtualised, and cloud infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); good knowledge of OCP, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.

• Experience in software development and agile environments; knowledge of security best practices.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to a variety of stakeholders.

• Good level of English (minimum B2).
